What began as an unexplained disappearance has been reclassified.

The relief recovered from the depth did not remain stone. Field footage — recovered separately from the Coast Guard record — shows the transformation in progress: the medallion first, then what it was resting against.

No agency has claimed jurisdiction over what happened next. The sailing party has been asked not to discuss it further.
